The medicine gave me abdominal pain and I had to go back to the hospital to get my [...]

Dear Brethren, February starts the burning season here in Thailand. They burn off the fields to prepare them for planting before the next rainy season. As a result, the air pollution in Chiang Mai sores into the dangerous range. The mountains around us cannot be seen because of the smoke. My family always has breathing problems during this time of the year because of the air pollution. Bekah has asthma. Lu has had bronchitis and is still struggling with [...]

Dear Brethren, January was a busy start to this year. On the first Sunday in January, I received a call at 4:30 a.m. that the grandmother of two of our students, Jarun and Gotchakorn, had passed away. She was well over 100 years old. They said she was 118 years old. Jarun was already in the mountains with Passakorn. I went to Gotchakorn’s dorm room and she had received a call already. I told her after worship I would [...]

Dear Brethren, April was a fantastic month. Exhausting… but fantastic. God truly blessed us throughout the month. It was a month of fellowship, blessings, growth, and fun. Our youth camp was amazing. We had over 180 young people who attended the camp. The only negative… was the extreme heat. It was over 100 degrees F every day.  One day it was 112 degrees. Most of our congregation here in Chiang Mai left for camp early Friday morning. I stayed [...]

April 2023 Newsletter

Dear Brethren, March sort of flew by as we prepared for the camp, taking the students that live in our dormitory in Chiang Mai back to visit their families during the school break, interviewing students who asked for help this coming year in school, and taught Bible to many people. It was a great month, but as usual it was too busy. There were four trips made into the mountains this month. Passakorn is still there. He will be [...]

Dear Brethren, First of all, let me apologize for this report coming later than usual.  I am in the mountains and my right eye got infected somehow. My eye is swollen and painful.  It is nearly swollen shut. Focusing on things close up, like my computer, is very difficult and a little blurry. I got some medicine from a drug store, but I am waiting to go to the doctor back in Chiang Mai. So once again, I apologize [...]
