Dear Brethren,
First of all, let me apologize for this report coming later than usual. I am in the mountains and my right eye got infected somehow. My eye is swollen and painful. It is nearly swollen shut. Focusing on things close up, like my computer, is very difficult and a little blurry. I got some medicine from a drug store, but I am waiting to go to the doctor back in Chiang Mai. So once again, I apologize that this is later than usual and if it is shorter than usual.
Second, I want to wish you all a happy, healthy New Year filled with blessings. This new year we have a lot of work scheduled already. So please continue to pray for our work here together. Without your help, we would be unable to do all that we are doing here. May the Lord continue to bless us as we work together for Him.
In December, we made several trips to the mountains. We were finishing the work on the renovation of the library building. It was finished in January… so I will tell you more about that and send pictures next month. I will just say for now that it looks very beautiful… because of the hard work of the Parks family who is visiting with us at this time.
The Parks family arrived in Thailand on the 29th of December. We finally got everyone to the farm around 1:30 A.M. We got up early on the 30th to prepare for the New Year’s party that evening… yes, we had our New Year’s Party on Friday the 30th. Nathan Parks gave a devotional at our New Year’s Party. On Saturday the 31st we bought additional books for the library at the school in Thichawmae. On the first, we headed for the mountains to work. I will tell you more about that in next month’s report.
We are happy to report that three brethren were restored during the month of December. One in Khun Yuam, one in Malati, and one in Chiang Mai. We will work to strengthen these brethren as we work together for the Lord. Also, if you remember in my report several months ago, I talked about some denominational church leaders that came to study with us in Chiang Mai. Three families have decided to start worshiping with us. While they are not yet NT Christians. This is their first step away from error and into truth. I believe in a very short time they will be obedient to Christ. We are excited about the prospects that we have in this new year.
Forgive me that this is very short. I will write more next month.
God bless,
—Michael
