Dear Brethren,

September was a wonderful month.  We have two new brethren. Chaidan and his wife Dagae, were baptized into Christ. I love to see members of the same family baptized at the same time. It is a beautiful picture.  It reminds me of the stories of the Philippian jailer and Lydia. It is wonderful to have this young family added to the kingdom. Please keep them both in your prayers as they begin their walk in Christ.

We went and visited with all of the students that we are helping. We went to invite and encourage all of them to come to our youth camp that we will be having in October. We went to Phrao and had an activity for half a day. Two schools came together for this activity. We will be bringing about 24 young people from those schools to our camp. We wanted to have that activity to give our young people, who will be leading all of the activities, a chance to practice. It went very well. We have been very busy getting everything ready for camp. Since this is the first year we can have camp on the property here in Chiang Mai, there are a lot of things that had to be done. It has been quite exhausting!! We literally moved 8 tons of gravel!! We have the buildings finished, the auditorium set up, and songbooks printed, activities planned, plates washed, cups washed, bedding washed, and much much much more!! There is a picture of our camp sign in the pictures. It says:

Youth Camp
October 19-23, 2026
“Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness” (Matthew 6:33)
Place: Church of Christ 129 Moo 13 Nong Han San Sai Chiang Mai

We will have a week-long Bible school the week before camp. During that school, we will be studying the book of Hebrews. We are expecting around 30 people during the first week. We are expecting around 200 people for the second week. The logistics for all of this are a nightmare. We have people flying in, people riding the bus coming in, people driving in, and we will be picking up around 150 young people. That doesn’t mean driving around town and picking them up… it means driving for many hours with a lot of vehicles and several trips. We are literally talking about days of driving… both before camp and after camp. The price of diesel continues to rise. It is at the highest price it has been since I have been in Thailand. This is going to raise the cost of transporting everyone to and from camp quite a lot. We know that all of the effort and all of the expense will be worth it. Those who are Christians already will be encouraged and grow spiritually. Those who are not yet Christians will have an opportunity to hear the gospel.

Saturday tutoring.

While we were preparing things for camp… one of our young ladies stepped on a nail. It went about an inch and a half into her foot. I had to take her to the hospital to get it removed and get shots and medicine. Another one of our young ladies is having trouble with her thyroid. She may need surgery. I picked her up at the bus station last night at 10:30 p.m. I took her to the hospital this morning for further testing.  When she is done this afternoon, I will drive her back to her university in Mae Hong Son. It is a 4 ½ hour drive one-way. We were not able to get her a bus ticket to return tonight, and she has to give a report in one of her classes on Friday morning. I will go up, spend the night, and then return tomorrow morning.

Please keep our school and camp in your prayers. Pray for all of those who will be traveling to arrive safely. Pray for all of those who are giving lessons to be well prepared. Pray for all of those who come to have an open heart. Pray that God receives glory and honor in all that we do.

May God bless us all as we work together for Him,
Michael
