Dear Brethren,
I am sorry that my report is very late this month. I had to make an emergency trip to America, and since I have been back, I have been very busy.
Dad fell at the beginning of April. He had several health problems and a broken collarbone. He was on the floor of his house for around 18 hours before help came. So, on top of everything else, he got pneumonia. He had to be airlifted to JPS Hospital in Fort Worth. I flew and got there as soon as I could. He was in the hospital for 16 days. I was there with him for 14 of them. Dad was in bad shape, but good spirits when I got there. He had a bleeding ulcer and two brain bleeds. He is doing amazingly well, all things considered. He has had a mental assessment since he has been here. He scored a 28 out of 30. Which is above normal. I hope that if I live to be 92, I will still have the mental ability that he has. We had a lot of problems with his health insurance. When the nurses that I work with in Thailand found out, they said, bring him here, and we will take care of him. On the 30th of May, we both flew to Thailand. The nurses met us at the airport, took us by ambulance to the hospital, had tests run, and then took us in the ambulance to Serene Senior Care. He is in an assisted living house, which is about 5 minutes from my house. He has his own house, 24-hour nursing care, three meals and a snack every day, physical therapy, and activities. Also, the house they gave him has twin beds in the bedroom. I have seen Dad every day and spend several nights a week with him. The nurses here are spoiling him. The plan at this point is to get him stronger and back on his feet. He plans to stay here for about three months.
The building project is going very well. I am sending some pictures of the progress. While I was in America, I was doing business over the phone in Thailand through the night. Dad said he would wake up and hear me talking on the phone. I was paying for contractors, concrete, and everything else that was required. I would take care of dad through the day and business in Thailand through the night.

The building project is going well.
While the new buildings are being built in Chiang Mai, we have been renovating the kindergarten in Phrao. Many of our young ladies, who are studying to be teachers, worked hard making new signs and learning activities. They did a wonderful job, and it is now a beautiful and safe place for the young children to learn. We had a contractor cover their play area to protect them from the sun, build 6 new bathroom stalls, and a new place to wash their hands and brush their teeth. We also bought new play equipment for them. We will go on the first day of school to see the children’s reactions.
If you remember from my trip to America last year, some of the ladies made dresses for us to give to the girls here. We still had a couple of dresses that did not fit any of the girls we knew. We gave the last ones away to two of the girls at the kindergarten that we renovated. They loved them!!
I am sorry this is short. We will have more to report at the end of this month. Thank you all for your prayers and help.
God bless,
Michael
